Hi, I’m Sherrie Pilkington, Sherrie Pilk for short. I’m a blogger (ALifeOfThrive.com), speaker, a podcast host (Finding God in Our Pain), and now I’m the Founder of Sealed With a Hug (SWAH).
In early 2018, my seemingly healthy husband whom I had been with for a little over 33 years, unexpectedly passed away.
My journey through grief and recovery forced me into the darkest of valleys. Yet in that pit of hell, I was given beautiful revelations about the heart of God for the brokenhearted. It forged a deep intimacy with the God of the Holy Bible, a level of intimacy I didn’t even know was possible.
There are so many things I discovered but the one thing that made the biggest difference was to know I was not alone. To know people cared kept me tethered to life around me. To have the presence of God kept me anchored in the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual storm that would not let up.
That’s why I created Sealed With a Hug. SWAH is a monthly subscription gift box that enables you to stay even though your life is busy and demanding. It provides a consistent message that you remember someone’s pain and that it matters to you.
